MOON 8 Oct 2014 Rockwall, TX: Selenelion Lunar Ecipse at Totality AT-130, Canon 60Da (c)Corneau
Using my AT-130 refractor telescope at f/6 and  Canon 60Da  DSLR camera I captured
the total lunar eclipse that took place on April 15, 2014. This was the first of two total
lunar eclipses in 2014, and the first in a tetrad(four total lunar eclipses in series).
Subsequent eclipses in the tetrad are those of October 8, 2014 (shown above) April 4,
2015, and September 28, 2015. (c)2014 Max Corneau

The Moon Project: The nearly
full Moon image was captured
by my 130mm refractor and
Canon 60Da on 30 July 2015
at f/6 1/250s shutter speed at
ISO 100.
The crater below is Plato. The crater is 101km in
diameter and it's floor should have a 2.2Km high
peak rising from the central floor of the crater. We
don't see the floor because it's covered with 2.6Km
of lava. Click on the image for full size and notice the
stepped crater walls. This  image was captured by a
ASI-120MC through 10-inch LX200 at f/36
Above: Seas of Tranquility and Serenity.

the color variations within these "Mare"
